This is a virtual gallery exhibit of ~tresamie fractal works.

I know Vivian ( ~tresamie ) since 2003, I think. Without her, I probably would've never known the beauty of fractal art. In all these years, even if we never met in person, we developed a strong friendship that, from the starting point of art (fractal and 3D), evolved into something precious: now I consider her one of my best true friends.

This idea came to us I think back in 2003 or 2004 but, for one reason or another, we weren't able to realize it until now: that's great, because in these years my rendering skills improved a lot and Vivian's fractal followed the same path

I modelled the "art gallery" freely taking inspiration on modern art galleries I visited, and looking at some internet images for reference. As you can see, it's a very simple modelling: straight lines, minimal design and the likes. Nothing model-fancy. (I did everything, as usual, in Softimage|XSI, using Mental Ray Physical Sky shader, Photographic Exposure shader, Physical Sun, Portal Lights and tons of GI photons and FG rays and all that bla bla bla). I placed the "frames" (a sort of placeholders), then I sent to Vivian an Ambient Occlusion render and she chose in complete autonomy a selection of her works to display.
